Sometimes the process is extended when Dr. Caputo determines that a patient requires additional preliminary procedures to prepare the surgical site for dental implants. Bone grafting to augment the jawbone and treatments for gum disease are the two most common procedures we perform to get the site ready for dental implants.
Before you have surgery to place the fixture that will hold your dental implant in place, you will meet with someone from our office to help you get ready for the whole process. We will provide you with detailed written instructions designed to inform you about everything you need to know. We want every part of the process to progress as smoothly as possible.
